Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Welder-Fitter to join a manufacturing company in Montgomery, AL. This position is responsible for fabricating, fitting, and welding metal components.
- Fabricate and fit metal components according to technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on carbon steel and other metals as needed.
- Cut, grind, and shape metal parts using hand and power tools.
- Safely operate welding and fitting equipment in shop and field environments.
- Ensure all welds meet safety and structural standards.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and work orders.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a welder-fitter in a mechanical or industrial setting
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
- Must be able to read a tape measure accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Ability to work in outdoor and physically demanding environments.
