Legal Secretary
Job Description
We are searching for an experienced Legal Secretary for an established attorney with a successful plaintiff’s personal injury practice. The Legal Secretary will have significant on-the-job experience in managing pre-litigation and litigation files.
What You’ll Do:
• Receive, direct, and screen telephone calls in a professional manner (serve as back-up receptionist when needed)
• Provide administrative support to multiple attorneys
• Manage attorney calendars and schedule appointments, depositions, etc.
• Manage and organize legal documents using MyCase software
• Compose, format, proofread, edit, and send routine correspondence
• Prepare files or assist paralegals in preparing files for upcoming hearings and depositions
• Perform administrative related duties as assigned by attorneys and paralegals
• Maintain confidentiality of all client and firm information
• Work with a team to accomplish firm goals
• Display excellent attention to detail
Job Requirements
What You’ll Need:
• Experience e-filing in state and federal court
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a
• Comfortably work in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with legal terminology and documentation
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Dependable, punctual, and reliable
The pay range for the Legal Secretary is $34k-$45k depending on experience and will adhere to working Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
