Janitor/Housekeeper

We are searching for a Janitor/Housekeeper for a company located here in Montgomery, Al. The Janitor/Housekeeper is responsible for a variety of cleaning tasks of buildings and other owned properties and will work Wednesday-Sunday.

What You’ll Do:

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
• Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, and windowsills
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
• Perform floor care duties such as buffing and waxing
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when restocking is needed
• Follow proper safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed
• Adhere to company policies and procedures
• Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision

What You’ll Need:

• Proven experience in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred
• Must have 3-5 years of solid work experience as a Janitor/Housekeeper
• Adhere to working a schedule of Wednesday- Sunday
• Knowledge of custodial practices and procedures
• Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing and waxing
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, and buffers
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively

The pay for the Janitor/Housekeeper position is $20/hour depending on experience and skills sets.
