Job Description
We are searching for a Retail Sales Associate for an outdoors gear and apparel store located in Montgomery, AL. The Retail Sales Associate will help their customers experience the outdoors to the fullest by offering outstanding customer service and a love for all things outdoors and nature.
What You’ll Need:
- Passion for outdoor activities such as hunting
- Previous retail or customer service experience required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and some holidays
- Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) system skills
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Knowledge of outdoor gear (knifes, safes, hunting apparel)
- General outdoor industry sales knowledge preferred
Job Requirements
What You’ll Do:
- Greet and assist customers, providing expert guidance on products, supplies, and apparel
- Demonstrate product knowledge, including use, maintenance, and safety features
- Assist in merchandise stocking, pricing, and inventory control
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Stay up to date on outdoor industry trends, new gear, and local adventure opportunities
- Uphold company values of customer service, integrity, and environmental stewardship
The Sales Associate will work a schedule of Monday-Saturday 8:45am-6:15pm. The Retail Sales Associate has a pay range of $15-$18 an hour depending on skills sets and experience.
